SFB 2015 – Reduce static registration expiry for IoS and Android clients

This blog may help you to test and implement static registration expiry for SFB mobile devices. Static registration configuration is populated in web.config file under following location. Usually, Microsoft do not support any configuration changes to webconfig file until or unless recommended by support.

Default value for MobileApplicationExpiryTimeInDays is set to 15 days normally.

Take a backup of the web.config file and edit the value , I have set this value to 1 day in my lab.

Reboot the FE server and check the status. Please note, CU update will potentially overwrite the value, you need to save the configuration and add it after CU update.
