Skype for business client – Changing photo from exchange mailbox and client testing

I don’t have the user photo set in AD or share-point. Test SFB client looks like below before adding the photo.

Fiddler trace shows that SFB client is reaching out to exchange mailbox via EWS to get the user photo and received a 404 not found response.

I have copied the JPG image to exchange server and run below command from exchange management shell to add the user’s photo and cmd was successful.

Set-UserPhoto -Identity “test2@myhybridsetup.org” -PictureData ([System.IO.File]::ReadAllBytes(“C:\1.jpg”))

I have logged out from SFB client and took a new trace. Subsequent fiddler trace from client shows that get photo EWS request was successful and you could see the actual photo in fiddler webview response.

Client has updated the new photo to SFB client as below.
